Federal & State Income Tax

The same wealth of experience enables our attorneys to advise their clients concerning the federal and state income tax consequences of personal, family and investment transactions, as well as business formation, acquisition, operation and disposition.

Federal and state income tax law remains a core component of our practice, with a substantial number of our attorneys either practicing primarily or having a strong background in tax law, including service with the U.S. Justice Department's Tax Division, attainment of masters degrees in tax law, status as certified public accountants, prior work with large multi-national tax firms and board certification as tax specialists.

We host a number of continuing education programs for attorneys, accountants, life insurance underwriters and trust administration officers each year and its attorneys participate in continuing education seminars as lecturers on behalf of Tulane, Loyola and LSU law schools and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants along with a variety of other contining education providers. A number of attorneys at the Firm either teach or have taught tax courses as visiting or adjunct professors at Louisiana law schools.
