Bernie Ticer was born in 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee. After joining the firm in 1985, he has spent the last 20 years becoming an experienced and knowledgeable attorney. Bernie law practice includes expertise in maritime, class action litigation, commercial litigation and personal injury cases.

He received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979 and his Juris Doctorate degree magna cum laude from Tulane University in 1982. While at Tulane he was a member of the Order of the Coif, Board of Student Editors from 1980-1981 and Notes and Comments Editor from 1981-1982 for the Tulane Law Review.

Bernie has worked with the Pro Bono Project, providing needed legal services for the disadvantaged, for the past six years. He is currently a member of the Texas and Louisiana State Bar Associations and the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He is admitted to practice law in all courts in Texas and Louisiana, all Louisiana Federal Courts, United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and United States Fifth Circuit Court.
