Monica Suprenant graduated from Loyola School of Law in 1978. After graduation, Monica joined the Firm as an associate in 1978 and became a partner in 1982, where her practice resolved around litigation. A Senior Officer of the Council of the Louisiana Law Institute from 1997 - 1999, and as a Member of the Executive Committee, Monica was one of the practicing attorneys of the Louisiana Code of Evidence and Revision to the Code of Civil Procedure Committee. She has successfully handled numerous complex and multi-faceted disputes in both state and federal courts.
In 1996, Monica was appointed by Governor M.J. "Mike" foster to the Louisiana State Mineral Board and became its Chair in 1997 un til 2003. In 1999, Monica was appointed en banc, as Investigator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, in Miscellaneous No. 99-413 "N" to investigate and report to the court on the issue of alleged prosecutorial misconduct. From 1980 through 1991, she was an instructor for the New Orleans Bar Review, preparing law school graduates for the Louisiana Bar Exam.
Monica has been in the forefront of a number of class actions and multi-plaintiff cases including the breast implant and lead paint controversies, bank escrow litigation, as well as the unauthorized practice of medicine without a license and consumer fraud. Monica also specialized in employment discrimination issues.
